The following article was published by Globe, concerning the successful deployment by Twingo for Ajillion
Interview with Itay Raz, CTO and founder of the company.
Itay Raz, CTO and founder of Ajillion - which develops and markets a platform for mobile advertising - noted that Ajillion "is a technology platform which runs a digital advertising network over mobile. We provide 2 billion impressions per day.
Our key requirement, when we reviewed Big Data solutions, was for a solution which would allow us to store a large volume of data in such a way that would allow us to run reports and retrieve data in real time - or near real time - and also to run algorithms and statistics which would allow us to optimize our recommendation engine.
We looked at several solutions and - with help from Twingo experts - reached the conclusion that Vertica is the best solution for us.
Twingo also helped us with benchmarking and with putting in place an architecture to integrate Vertica with our systems. Twingo helped us through the entire deployment process and we benefited extensively from their expertise and experience in this field. We continue to work with Twingo to date and we rely on Twingo experts even when it comes to processes which require access to our mission-critical production systems."
Ajillion was founded by Gilad Helerman and Itay Raz; several weeks ago it was sold to CrossRider. In a short time frame, the company successfully developed a unique platform for management and delivery of mobile advertising campaigns and has signed up 100 global business clients.
Raz noted that once we launched the Vertica project, within a few weeks the company had a new Big Data solution, custom made from end to end by joint effort of Ajillion development teams and Twingo experts. The solution allowed us to accelerate company evolution and to graduate to playing on the same field as major digital advertising players, with strong performance and capabilities which previously have only been available from such major players as Google or Facebook."
